How to sell an item step by step?
Selling on Cyclem is simple, guided, and secure. The platform supports sellers at every step, from listing the item to withdrawing earnings.
1. Create a reliable profile
To sell under good conditions, it is recommended to:
- properly complete your personal profile,
- use accurate and up-to-date information,
- keep your login credentials strictly confidential.
Each user can only have one account and is responsible for all activity conducted through it.
2. List an item
Sellers can post free listings for items exclusively related to the fashion world (clothing, shoes, accessories, cosmetics, etc.).
For a compliant and attractive listing:
- add real photos of the item (AI-generated images are prohibited),
- describe the item precisely, honestly, and thoroughly (condition, potential flaws,
authenticity), - set a clear price.
π Listings may be subject to:
- automatic moderation (image and metadata analysis),
- or reporting by the community.
Cyclem reserves the right to deactivate any listing that does not comply with the Terms of Use.
3. While waiting for a buyer
Once your item is listed, several best practices can help you increase its visibility and chances of selling:
- Take care of your photos: prioritize clear, well-lit, and accurate images of the item. Quality photos inspire trust and attract more buyers.
- Set an attractive price that aligns with the item's condition and value.
Optimize your profile:
- add a clear profile picture,
- write a short and engaging bio to reassure buyers and introduce yourself.
- Respond quickly to messages: responsiveness is often crucial in the buying decision.
π Depending on the features available on the Platform, you can also:
- boost an item to improve its visibility,
- and/or highlight your profile to reach more potential buyers.
π‘ Important:
To benefit from the protection offered by Cyclem, all discussions, negotiations, and payments must take place within the app.
Transactions conducted outside the Platform are neither secure nor covered.
4. The item is sold: payment and shipping
When the buyer makes the payment:
- a binding sales contract is directly established between the buyer and the seller,
- the funds are collected and secured by a third-party payment provider,
- Cyclem SA acts solely as a technical intermediary.
Shipping
- the seller has a maximum of 5 days to ship the item,
- shipping is primarily done via Cyclem GO (relay points),
- a prepaid label is automatically generated,
- the seller must comply with packaging, weight, and drop-off instructions.
A delay or failure to ship may result in:
- a refund to the buyer,
- automatic sanctions on the seller's account.
5. Receipt, validation, and earnings
The transaction is validated when:
- the buyer confirms receipt in the app, or
- no issue is reported within 24 hours of delivery.
Once validated:
- the earnings appear in the seller's merchant account,
- a Cyclem commission is automatically deducted,
- the seller can request a withdrawal of funds (not automatic).
π‘ Before any first withdrawal, mandatory identity verification is required (Swiss IBAN, ID document, facial verification, regulatory checks).
6. Returns and special situations
- The buyer has a 24-hour return right after confirming receipt,
- returns are exclusively handled via La Poste,
- return costs are borne by the buyer,
- the refund is issued only after the seller confirms receipt.
Specific rules apply in cases of:
- non-shipment,
- unclaimed parcels,
- cancellation or shipping delays.
