The principle of the C2C marketplace

On Cyclem:

sellers post listings for their items,
buyers purchase these items directly through the app,
the sales contract is exclusively between the buyer and the seller.

Cyclem does not buy, resell, or store any items.

The role of Cyclem

Cyclem SA acts solely as:

a technical platform for connecting users,
a tool for managing the transaction (order, notifications, statuses),
a secure payment intermediary, via an authorized third-party provider.

Cyclem:

is not a party to the sales contract,
does not set the price of items,
does not decide on the acceptance or refusal of a return,
and never holds users’ funds.

Secure payment

When a buyer confirms a purchase:

payment is made directly in the app,
funds are secured and held by the payment provider,
the seller is notified of the order.

This step ensures:

buyer protection in case of non-shipment,
seller protection against fraudulent payments.

⚠ Any transaction conducted outside of Cyclem (direct payment, cash, private transfer, etc.) is neither secure nor covered.

Shipping

After the sale:

the seller has up to 5 days to ship the item,
delivery is primarily handled via Cyclem GO (relay points),
a prepaid shipping label is automatically generated.

The seller remains responsible for:

meeting the deadlines,
proper packaging,
correctly dropping off the parcel.

Final validation of the sale

The transaction is considered finalized when:

the buyer confirms receipt in the app,
or
no issue is reported within 24 hours of delivery.

Once the transaction is validated:

funds become available in the seller’s merchant account,
the Cyclem commission is automatically deducted,
the seller can request a withdrawal of their earnings (after identity verification if necessary).
