How does shipping with Swiss Relay work?

Swiss Relay is the parcel drop-off and pick-up delivery service integrated into Cyclem. It allows you to send and receive parcels easily, without using traditional postal services.

Swiss Relay is operated directly by Cyclem and is currently available only in French-speaking Switzerland.

The general principle

Swiss Relay operates on a drop-off point → pick-up point model:

1. The seller drops off the parcel at a Swiss Relay drop-off point.
2. Cyclem transports the parcel.
3. The buyer collects the parcel at their chosen pick-up point.

The entire process is tracked and secured within the Cyclem app.

Step by step

1. Choosing the delivery method

When listing the item, the seller offers Swiss Relay as a delivery option.

During the purchase:

the buyer selects Swiss Relay,
they choose their pick-up point,
the seller selects their drop-off point.

2. Parcel drop-off by the seller

After payment:

the shipping label is immediately available in the transaction details,
the seller must print the label at home and attach it to the parcel,
they drop off the parcel at the chosen Swiss Relay drop-off point.

Each drop-off is scanned, triggering tracking.

3. Transport and tracking

The parcel is handled by Swiss Relay,
each step of the transport is tracked (scan),

Delivery times are on average 4 to 6 business days (non-binding).

4. Receipt by the buyer

The buyer is notified when the parcel arrives at the pick-up point,
they have 5 days to collect it,
after collection, the buyer has 24 hours to validate the item or initiate a return if there is an issue with the item.

If the buyer does not report any issues, the sale is automatically validated after 24 hours.

Automatic validation is irreversible.

Once validated, the funds become available to the seller.

Parcel formats and limits

Parcels must comply with Swiss Relay formats:

Size S: up to 2 kg – 45 × 25 × 5 cm
Size M: up to 10 kg – 60 × 30 × 20 cm

A non-compliant parcel may be refused or subject to adjustment.

Security and compensation

Each parcel is scanned at every stage (drop-off, transport, delivery).

In case of loss or theft during transit:

the buyer is reimbursed,
the seller may be compensated up to a maximum of CHF 100 per parcel.

In case of poor packaging, the parcel may not be accepted.
