How to make an offer on an item?
Guided negotiation
Making an offer allows you to propose a price lower than the listed one, in a secure environment.
How does an offer work?
- The buyer proposes a price lower than the listed price.
- The seller can:
- accept,
- decline,
- or ignore the offer.
As long as the offer is not accepted, there is no commitment.
Communication about offers
- Offers appear in a dedicated conversation between the buyer and the seller.
- Offers, rejections, or acceptances can be accompanied by a message related to
- the offer.
“Free” messages are blocked before the purchase, for security reasons.
If the offer is accepted
- The buyer must press "Buy" directly from the accepted offer in the conversation.
- The payment is then processed.
- The transaction begins as usual.
Transaction tracking
You can track the status of a transaction at any time from the app:
- go to the Transactions screen,
- select the relevant transaction from the Ongoing transactions.
From this screen, you can:
- see the current status (pending, in progress, delivered, validated, etc.),
- know what the next step is,
- access available actions (message, label, shipments, validation).
Key points to remember
✔ The offer is not binding until it is accepted
✔ The seller is free to respond or not
✔ Payment only after acceptance
✔ Purchase must be confirmed from the accepted offer
